Using digital collage as a starting point, Healy re-contextualizes his source material to construct images of people in ambiguous situations, leading the viewer to question.
Healy brings reality and fiction, time and space, onto a single canvas, creating anxiety and uneasiness, challenging preconceptions. The paintings toe the line somewhere between figuration and abstraction, provoking a sinister sense of unease as the figures constantly lead your eyes around the pictures.
